BELIEVE in Men will be a weekly (“Wednesday is Men’s Day”) multi-media blog using words, images, audio and video to encourage public policy discussion about unfairness to Baltimore’s men and boys and the problems that result.

Jack Kammer, a retired social worker who specialized in the problems of men and boys, will be the primary blogger / editor / curator. A few details about him:

 

  • ​Baltimore native, Graduate of Poly

  • Worked with Elijah Cummings in 1985 and 1986 on having Maryland establish a Task Force on the problems facing men and boys

  • 2012 Outstanding Recent Graduate of the UM-Baltimore School of Social Work for his advocacy of men and boys

  • Former CO in the Baltimore city jail J.I. Building

  • Former Central Baltimore Parole & Probation agent

  • Former trainer for National Fatherhood Initiative on running the InsideOut Dad program for incarcerated fathers
